Privacy Notice – IFA Paper Survey 2026

Survey responses are anonymous

Your answers to the survey questions are stored without any personal data. They are not linked to your prize draw details at any time — technically, survey responses and prize draw entries are kept in separate data sets with no connection between them.

Launch notification (“Notify me”)

If you leave your email address before the survey starts, we use it solely to send you a single notification email when the survey goes live (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). It is not used for any other purpose, not shared with third parties, and deleted together with the prize draw data.

Prize draw data

If you choose to enter the prize draw, we process your first and last name, email address, phone number and country of residence exclusively for conducting the prize draw, determining and notifying the winners, and shipping the prizes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). If you win, we additionally process the delivery address you provide for shipping your prize. To prevent abuse — in particular multiple entries — processing is also based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

For shipping, the necessary data (name, delivery address) is shared with the cooperation partners providing the prizes and with shipping service providers, only to the extent necessary. Survey responses are never shared with any third party.

Retention and deletion

All personal data collected for the prize draw will be completely deleted no later than 31 January 2027, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Hosting

This website and its database are hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH located in Germany. Notification and winner emails are sent via Twilio SendGrid. Server log data (e.g. IP addresses) is processed to operate the site securely and is not used for profiling. No tracking or marketing cookies are used. The admin area uses a technically required session cookie only.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), objection (Art. 21 GDPR) and to file a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
